Everyone is an individual
So while we go to great lengths to do all the hard work for you, we always leave room for you to create exactly the holiday you want. |
You choose
Our itineraries are meticulously researched in order to get the very best out of every destination.
Your tour manager will also be on hand to help you choose between optional organised excursions and local attractions you can explore under your own steam.
In this way you can tailor your itinerary to suit your tastes. A day dozing or a race around the shops - its your holiday, your choice. |

Your accommodation
When you are on the move, you need a good nights sleep. So we personally visit and select all our hotels to ensure they make the grade.
Since there is no internationally agreed system of rating accommodation, this website uses our own diamond grading system based on each hotels facilities, décor, ambience and location: Basic hotels: comfortable rooms, with limited amenities Moderate hotels: well-maintained accommodation; good value for money Superior: good standards; wider range of facilities and service Deluxe hotels: high standards of service and accommodation; first-class facilities and restaurants.
As a matter of course, all our hotels offer air-conditioning, a restaurant, bar and standard room features (TV, phone, bathroom). Any exceptions to this rule are noted in the relevant tour details.
Please bear in mind that the grades we award a hotel are relative to the area in which it is located. 3 accommodation in a National Park cannot fairly compare with a 3 city hotel as there are always environmental restrictions on buildings in areas of great natural beauty. In such instances, our grading reflects the overall combination of location, surrounding scenery and ambience.
Very occasionally, reasons beyond our control compel us to change a hotel on some tour dates.
If this happens, we always ensure the replacement hotel is of an equivalent or higher standard. |

Fully escorted
Your tour manager is with you from the start to the finish of your holiday, and will make sure everything goes smoothly. Youll find they are highly experienced and know their territory inside out.
With the porterage of one piece of luggage included in the price of your tour, we also look after your suitcase while you are on holiday so thats another weight off your mind. |

Wining and dining
When it comes to food, peoples tastes differ. So rather than charge you for food you may not eat, we generally leave the choice up to you.
Sometimes, however, youll find meals are provided. This is usually on train and cruise journeys that include meals as part of their service, or when we feel a special meal adds to the cultural experience of your holiday. |
|
|
Getting around
Whether you are travelling by train, plane, boat or coach, we select all our transport partners strictly according to reputation and reliability.
Each tour provides you the chance to vary your view of the scenery, not only by combining different modes of travel but also by rotating your seating each day. |
|
|
How you travel
Not everybody travels in pairs. If youre travelling on your own, or in a group of three, we always try to accommodate your choice of sleeping arrangements. In many cases we can negotiate special rates for single hotel rooms. Any applicable reduction is indicated on the price grid for each tour. Please note that most triple room arrangements will involve two people sharing a bed as there will usually be two double beds rather than three singles.
Thomas Cook Tours are designed with a minimum age limit of 16. If you would like to travel with children, we are happy to recommend other holiday options more suitable for families. |
|
|
Smoking policy
All the coaches used on our tours are non-smoking, so take advantage of the frequent stops for photos and sightseeing en route. Smoking policies vary on trains and cruise ships our Reservations team will be able to give you all the details when your book. |
|
|
Being flexible
Holidays are for enjoying yourself, not following rigid schedules. So each Thomas Cook Tour gives you plenty of scope for doing what you want to do.
We can also make arrangements for you to extend your trip before or after your tour (an extension fee of £25 per person applies). |
|
Stop press
We welcome spontaneous travellers and will happily book your holiday at the very last minute.
If you book within a week of departure, well send your tickets straight to our airport representative, or to you by Royal Mail Datapost at a charge of £15 per booking if youd prefer.
You can also, if you wish, book your own flights, and arrange to meet your group at the tours starting point. This will incur a land-only supplement of £50 per booking and you will be unable to take advantage of our door-to-door pick-up service, free domestic flights and the airport services we offer. |

The best-laid plans
Every Thomas Cook Tour is carefully planned months in advance. But very occasionally even the best-laid plans can go awry.
So in the unlikely event that we are forced to change the departure date of your tour, we promise to give you at least 10 weeks warning. Naturally we will absorb any differences in price. |
|
The best-laid plans
With our buying power and strong relationships with our suppliers, you can be sure that your holiday price is good value and wont easily be matched elsewhere. The price youll be quoted when you book will reflect all tour inclusions and is guaranteed to be the price youll pay, unless you amend your tour at a later date. |
